The Great American Hot Dog offer the best hot dogs in WNC. The menu
features a variety of choices for the hot dog connoisseur including a
Taco Dog with shredded cheese, lettuce, salsa and onions.Although there are many choices- the classic
Great American Dog with onions, relish, mustard and ketchup is the restaurant's
best seller.
"That's what we're known for," says Steve Hughes, co-owner of this hot dog
paradise.
There are hamburgers, soups and salads & sandwiches, on the menu as well. Hand-cut fries and homemade onion
rings are specialty side dishes, Hughes said.
"The biggest thing is our fresh cut French fries and we do them the old
fashioned way with some of the peel left on them," he said. "Our onion rings are
also fresh cut, dipped in a homemade batter then deep fried."
Prices range from $1.39 for the Great American Dog to $4.99 for the Taco Salad.
