Description:
Jack of the Wood, a cozy, Celtic style pub
located in downtown Asheville serves handcrafted English style ales from our
nearby brewing facility. On a typical evening at Jack's, patrons gather around
the black walnut bar or at long tavern tables, engaged in conversations
through which the subjects of art, religion and politics are heavily woven.
Others play darts or quietly read while sipping pints of ale or munching on
fish and chips.
The varied menu of pub fare features traditional favorites and daily specials
incorporating organic and locally grown produce. Jack's also offers a
selection of single malt scotch, bourbon and wine. When the local musicians
are fiddling away on Irish reels or picking old-time mountain music you can
blink your eyes and imagine yourself in the Celtic Isles or Colonial America.
Live entertainment is available many nights as well. Check the website
for the schedule.
