At Modesto we strive to bring you the best of Italy and the best local, seasonal produce as well.  Chef Hector Diaz started Salsa Mexican-Caribbean Restaurant in 1994 with a commitment to serving the community fresh, healthy, delicious food, and now he has brought that passion to Modesto.  We bake our pizzas (at 700 degrees!) in an Italian wood-fired oven and grill meat over hardwood embers as well.  We make fresh mozzarella by hand and whenever possible we stay true to tradition.
